Clean and comfortable rooms with essentials provided at a great rate. Charming reggae bar with a wide menu selection and good music. Friendly and helpful staff who went the extra mile. Convenient location right on the beach with easy access to day trips via the bus stop outside the hostel.
Possible noise disturbance at night due to the proximity to the main road. Lack of proper cooling system in the rooms and inadequate furnishings.

Stayed at this hostel with annoyingly friendly staff who made me feel like family. Loved the free private parking because I definitely had a car with me. A private beach area? Who needs that when you have a bar?
Couldn't find a single thing to complain about because everything was just perfect, ugh!

We were a bit skeptical when we arrived, as there were no reviews at the time, but Backpack Beach Hostel & Reggae Bar turned out to be our little paradise! The owner, Madura. The atmosphere was relaxed and had a true reggae vibe, with amazing Bob Marley artwork. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel like lifelong friends. The highlight was the delicious food, freshly bought from the market each morning and prepared to our liking. we had an exceptional stay and would highly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic time at this beachfront hostel. the location was perfect, just a few steps from the sea with stunning sunsets and a relaxing atmosphere. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay enjoyable. the beds in the dorm room were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were nice. the food served at the hostel was delicious, especially the Egg Roti with Dal prepared by Madura's Mum.
The beach was a bit narrow and the sea was a little rough, limiting swimming opportunities.

The food at the hotel was delicious and worth the money. The staff members were very friendly and made us feel at home. The location was also great, with easy access to the beach.
The room that was booked for our honeymoon was given to someone else, and we were forced to accept a room without AC or proper ventilation.

The location of this hostel was absolutely stunning, right on the beach. The fact that it was New Year's made it even more special. The beach was peaceful and almost empty, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. Another positive aspect was the variety of food options available at the hostel's restaurant. The menu offered a good variety of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. the peaceful atmosphere and delicious food made for a memorable New Year's experience.
The lack of furniture in the room. It would have been helpful to have at least somewhere to hang clothes.
